Bundesentwicklungsministerin Svenja Schulze hat in der Ukraine die größte Werkstatt des Landes zur Herstellung von Prothesen für Kriegsverletzte eröffnet. Der Bau in der westukrainischen Stadt Lwow wurde von Deutschland mit 1,8 Millionen Euro gefördert und gehört zu einem Zentrum für Orthopädie, in dem auch Fachkräfte ausgebildet werden. Außerdem finanziert Berlin die benötigten Maschinen mit 600.000 Euro. Für die Renovierung des Reha-Zentrums mit dem Namen Unbroken (ungebrochen) werden weitere 2,2 Millionen Euro aufgebracht.
